Day Twenty-Five
We finally managed to get out for a decent run- about 3 miles - 31.14. No rain, no troubles with Toby. Would have been a perfect run were it not for the tightening in my upper leg muscles.
wish i could answer this in gaelic. or any language other than english, for that matter.
i used to run, and man did i look forward to the days off. sometimes, because of work and school, i would come home from a night class at the U, fall asleep on the couch, get up at midnight, go run, and then fall into bed. it was nuts.
I don't really speak any language other than English (and Irish, poorly), so it's just as well. :)
Running at midnight - you are way braver than I am. The beauty of this running thing is that a mile is so very doable, so long as your legs are reasonably sound. (That said, I wouldn't want to run on the sort of ice you seem to be experiencing of late.)
Five years ago, I traded baseball for camogie, snow for rain, Lake Michigan for Dublin Bay, and pumpkin-spiced coffee for Barry's Classic Tea. On balance, it was a good trade. Except for the coffee. And the overcrowding, high house prices, long commutes, and other nuisances of Dublin. So last year, we've moved to a small village in the middle of County Cork.
